First, I hope this finds everyone well & safe. The club is approaching their 43rd Annual Specialty Show to be held at

The Hope Hotel & Richard C. Holbrooke Conference Center, 10823 Childlaw Road, Fairborn, OH. On Friday, April 2nd, there will be a Puppy Match & Saturday, April 3rd, 2021, Sweepstakes & Regular Class Judging.

As you are aware, the 2020 Rotating Specialty Show was canceled due to the Covid-19. In order to provide a specialty this year, STCGD has taken measures to ensure the club is meeting the guidelines mandated.
This will be a specialty unlike any other Dayton has had. There has been no publicity, the public has not been invited & plans have taken place to provide a safe "Show & Go" for exhibitors. Masks are required, temperatures will be taken at the entrance to the ballroom, wristbands indicating no temperature & safe to enter will be given. Exhibitors will be given a waiver to sign at the door & be required to adhere to the six-foot social distancing. Hand sanitizer & Clorox wipes will be placed throughout. This will be a show where everyone will be ask to self-clean their area & to pick up after their dogs.
The grooming area will be taped for each setup to comply with social distancing, blow dryers will not be allowed & the area will have hand sanitizers available. There will be two openings to the show ring, enter on one side & exit on the other. There will be no chairs provided ringside.
The club will not setup the boutique, silent auction or education this year. The Ways & Means will sell tee-shirts, crate pads & mats. There will be a raffle with two raffle items, a 14" x 18" Framed Print by Valeria Moldovan entitled "Scottish Highland Games" and a 48" x 60" Cotton Throw with Imitation Leather Scottie and Border. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20. If you would like to buy tickets, contact Susan Moloney at samoloney77@gmail.com. We are hoping Packy's will be open if you would like to have lunch on Saturday. If you did not receive a Premium, one will be attached.
Not having had a meeting in a year, it has been a challenge to plan. However, the show committee, along with board members, has worked hard to provide the best, safest specialty possible. There will be no hospitality on Friday night at the puppy match; the club will provide a sacked lunch & drink.
