Scottish Terrier Club of Greater Dayton's Rescue

L

The STCGD, INC provides a rescue and placement service for Scottish Terriers. Our Scotties come from various situations; strays and owner surrenders are most common. We ensure all of our Scotties are spayed/neutered and updated on all immunizations, as well as bathed and groomed before going to a new home.

We perform behavior and temperament testing to allow for a successful placement. People wishing to adopt are asked to submit an application. As we can't predict the frequency with which we will have a Scot needing a new home, adopters will be placed on a waiting list. Based on answers to the application questions we will do our best to make the right match between Scottie and its new family. The Scottie's needs are considered first.

Adopters are asked to sign a contract. We don't have a set adoption fee, but will gratefully accept whatever you can contribute to support our work. We are always here for advice and assistance in helping your new family adjust. If for any reason the placement doesn't succeed, the Scottie must be returned to us. Thank you for considering a dog who needs a new home!

Love is wonderful, the second time around!
